I just got back home safe and sound after 12 days on the open road! My mother was ecstatic to have me back all in one piece.. nothing but a couple of minor bumps and bruises, which definitely surpassed all our expectations :D My last night in Punta Arenas, joined by a group of 20+ crazy gringos, fermented in pisco sour and dressed up as if going on a safari expedition in the 1900s while dancing 80s hits and celebrating Peachy's birthday was one hell of a way out! This was the trip of the lifetime, spent with some of the most amazing characters you could ever meet, in some of the most astounding places on the planet. Safe travels and I hope to see you all soon on our next adventure... hopefully not toooo soon, I need a little time to recuperate.

Sounds like Dante's Inferno. Remember that quote, from the same author, at the top of the grim, grim hills on the Grizzly in Devon - "death is not the end!". And that was baby stuff compared to what you've endured. Hats off to you all for simply surviving!!

Mates, back to the ghastly grey mess of pre Christmas London. Just looking around, taking stock, wishing I was back there with you and missing you all (weirdly!) it was great riding with friends some old and some new on an amazing journey. Thanks to you all for your company and of course Jim aka ‘James’ for enabling such a unique, memorable and cool three weeks. Hope the weather holds fair and you have happy trails to the end of the world. See you when you get back.

The WAGs are almost home after a fabulous week in Argentina that we will never forget! Thanks to everyone for excellent organisation and most importantly to Jim for letting us come along for the ride! It was so much fun! Enjoy the peace and quiet now we’re gone and take lots of care. We’re leaving on a jet plane after a fabulous week - we’ve travelled through some extraordinary country with the scenery changing around every twist and turn. We followed bikers riding through sheer hell in heavy rain on rough roads and on wonderful, sweeping tar roads with no cars and just a few gauchos on their ponies with their dogs. We’ve clambered up mountain trails, strapped on when appropriate, ridden bikes (one with a motor!) and been fishing. It’s been a blast in great company and we wish everyone a wonderful onward journey through Patagonia to the Galapagos. Charles and Jo

Breathtaking pictures! Can’t wait to see „Grenadiers“ in the mix ... will make biblical weather more palatable I suspect! Oh,I have to ask... with that tour motto, the finish line won’t be outside a shop on Kings Road in Chelsea? All the best!

7th December 2018

Wow.. it is great to have the first hand view of such a lifetime adventure! From experience speed, wind and water do not mix... Water has a bad habit to pass everywhere, always!! if you add speed... (any speed) then you are in for a miserable ride! If you have waterproof material, it will not be sufficient.. you may not have sealed or welded seams which is usually where waters starts to come in first. From what I have learned from the various adventures I am sure help is on the way... to tackle the water issue. Enjoy and keep up the great stories!!

Claudio
7th December 2018

Wow, day 12 must have been horrendous - to force ‘taking stock’ would need biblical events!! Well done guys and glad to hear all are safe.

Big Jim (James Che Ratcliffe Guevara), You're quickly gaining LEGEND status. Keep it going Next time you meet a bureaucrat have 50 dollars folded in the passport. Stick down your Mother's flag at final destination (you can't get a Jackdaw from a Budgies egg)and everyone know's "Nobody beats The Irish" Brave Heart - 'My Island' Drive on Dude and remember a glass of milk is as good as any Gin and Tonic.
